At the 2011 Thailand International R/C Touring Car Championship (TITC) held in February, TRF (Tamiya Racing Factory) drivers raced their TRF417's with a new Gear Differential Unit installed in the car. Tamiya now offers the TRF417 with this unit as a standard option part included with this new spec version of the TRF 417.

- Battery compartment accommodates LiPo and LiFe hard case battery packs

- Machined aluminum (TRF blue anodized) suspension blocks, bulk-heads and motor plate parts

- Fits 190mm touring car and sports car body sets (note: Some Tamiya TA-05 IFS low nose body sets intended for the TA-05 or TA-06 may be too low to fit the TRF417s front end due to its stand up shock design)
