Description:
The Ford Focus RS was introduced in 1998 as a high-performance rally oriented vehicle. In 2006, Ford Motor Team chief engineer Christian Loriaux had the car optimised by revising the seating position, roll cage, suspension, aerodynamics and engine. The 2 litre 4 cylinder turbo engine delivers 300hp and 550Nm. In seven years of factory use, Ford won four constructors' titles with the RS. TAMIYA presents this model in the custom version, i.e. as a street version without sponsors.

The 47495 TAMIYA 1/10th scale model is based on the tried and tested TT-02 chassis. The wheelbase, ground clearance, track and gear ratio can be adjusted in many ways and with the countless optional tuning parts the chassis can be quickly tuned into a racer. The 4WD drive with central shaft, double wishbones and spring struts on all four wheels ensure a prototypical driving image and best traction. The underside of the chassis is extra smooth and the battery compartment accommodates all common battery types. The visual highlight are the wheel drivers, which have attached dummy brake discs.
The enclosed body is unpainted and can be painted with the TAMIYA polycarbonate colours.
