The DT-04 NXGEN is the logical further development of the TAMIYA Fighter Buggy models and THE entry-level buggy for up-and-coming racers!
Since 1996, TAMIYA has been setting the standard for the entry-level sector and the RC car scene with its Fighter Buggies.
The DT-04 is based on the tried and tested DT-03, but has been revised in many areas.
NXGEN stands for “Next-Generation”, i.e. the latest generation of Fighter 2WD buggies. Both technically and visually, a lot is new with this model: The look is based on the popular single-seater American racing buggies with 2WD rear-wheel drive. TAMIYA implements this with plastic parts already colored white, which makes painting unnecessary. The model can be built from the kit in 2 color variants and the driver figure with helmet makes the fighter a real eye-catcher!
Technically, the NXGEN features a new 3-part steering system, oil-pressure shock absorbers, new axle carriers, hexagonal front and rear wheel mounts, new steering levers and much more!
The model can be built in 2 different wheelbases (265mm or 280mm). This is done simply by reversing the front lower wishbones and converting the steering. A short wheelbase makes the model more agile on the race track and the long wheelbase enables a smoother ride.

WARNINGS:
Read and understand all instructions before beginning assembly. If a child is assembling the model, a supervising adult should also have read the instructions.
Tools including knives are used when assembling the kit. Special care should be taken to avoid injury.
If difficulties arise during assembly, ask an adult to supervise the work or a model builder with RC experience or a specialist dealer.
Only use tools for their intended purpose. There is a risk of injury if used incorrectly.
If you use paint and/or glue (not included in the kit), observe and follow the instructions supplied with the kit.
Keep the kit away from small children. Prevent children from putting any parts in their mouths or pulling plastic bags over their heads.

- Entry-level DT-04 chassis - extremely robust
- Length: 395mm (with 265mm wheelbase) / 404mm (with 280mm wheelbase, width: 248mm, height: 120mm
- There are two wheelbases to choose from:
265mm for more handling or 280mm for more stability.
- The wheelbase can be changed by reversing the front lower wishbones.
- The striking body is made up of several plastic parts (colored white), which are connected with tubular frames. A design inspired by real racing buggies.

- New, light and robust tub frame (chassis)
- The chassis has an inline battery position and a motor installed behind the rear axle. This gives the model plenty of traction.
- The sealed transmission has a built-in bevel gear differential for smooth cornering and keeps out dust and dirt.
- The side chassis boxes accommodate the electronic speed controller and receiver- 4-wheel double wishbone suspension with long arms
- CVA oil dampers.
- The front wishbones have a caster angle of 22.5 degrees for excellent handling and off-road performance.
- New steering with 3 tie rods makes the model very precise to drive
- The roll cage can be folded back to change the battery (quick-release fastener installed at the front). The driver figure also serves as a battery holder.
- Grooved tires at the front and grippy studded tires at the rear
- Hexagonal wheel mounts on the front axle allow different wheels to be attached.
- The mounting positions of the rear shock absorbers and the rear upper arms can be changed.
- The kit includes a decal sheet for the construction of 2 different color variants (red and blue)
- Driver figure included. Use Tamiya colors X, XF, LP (sold separately) to paint the driver figure.
- Many separately available DT-02/DT-03 parts are compatible and offer numerous tuning options
